  1. Thanks for your daily entries! I’m hoping to hike the NNML this summer, probably in July. What sort of temperatures did you encounter? What did you bring as far as sleep system and clothing? Thanks!

    1. Temperatures were good for hiking. Not too hot most of the time, because of the altitude. I did get a little snow near Colorado, so that was a cold night. My gear list has not changed much since this post: https://sagebrush-trails.com/pct-2018-gear-list/ . I use a small tri-fold foam pad for sleeping, that for many hikers is too spartan. If you use an inflatable pad, bring a good patch kit, since New Mexico has a lot of sharp pointy plants.
