Start S2 mile 23.8, dirt road at Lockhart Canyon
End S2 mile 43.7 dirt road in Canyonlands, just over BLM boundary

The road-walk beyond Lockhart Canyon goes past tiered buttress formations.
Leaving the road, the descent into Rustler Canyon has one big drop-off to find an alternate route to scramble past.
After a difficult cross-country route out of the canyon and past several cuts, the unmarked boundary with Canyonlands National Park shows intricate rock formations.
The route in the park follows up We-Hope-So Wash, with an unexpected large pool of clear water at one spot.
After following along a dirt read, I go cross-country 800 feet or so to a section of BLM land to camp. I do not have a back-country permit for Canyonlands, so the next 20 or so miles must be all done in one day.
