Gila Back Country Horsemen and NMVFO volunteers backpacked in to the Saddle Rock area near Silver City to work on trails for several days, mostly lopping.
Horse people packed in equipment and water to support the hikers.
Nights and mornings were cold, but the days got quite warm.
The area was dry, receiving little precipitation over winter.
