Two NMVFO and Socorro Trails volunteers scouted the Hop Canyon Trail #25/25A + North Baldy #8 Trail loop, about 10 miles. We had received a report about downed trees in that area, and decided to clear the Hop Canyon trails in preparation for an upcoming project that will concentrate on North Baldy.

We enjoyed good weather, fine views, and worthy conversation, while clearing over 25 blowdowns.

Several NMVFO volunteers met on National Trails Day at the Quarai site at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument.

We worked on Spanish Corral loop trail, adding and spreading wood chips on sections of the trail that were not rocky or part of a drainage.

Afterwards, Natalia from the National Park Service gave our group a presentation about the history of the Quarai site.
