Heading down, I pass a pond and a walkway over a river.
During a short descent into Kenosha Pass, I could see snow-capped mountains ahead. I was told later that the pass is famous for its aspens during fall colors, quite busy with visitors.
The day started with a walk along an old roadbed, entering into Lost Creek Wilderness.
Diverting from the road to single-track in a brisk climb, we arrive at a wetland, where the ground is too moist to allow tree growth.
